They are Kpop, but like many other Kpop groups, they have released many Japanese languages albums (being one of the most sucessful Kpop groups in Japan, because, unlike other groups that only released Japanese remakes of their Korean songs, Kara studied the Japanese music landscape and altered their sound to gather to the tastes of the Japanese people), so we can say they are both: Kpop in Korea and Jpop in Japan.
