I'm pretty sure it mezzo soprano. It's nit as high as a soprano and not as low as a contralto. Not 100% sure on this, but that's what I am and I can sing all her songs without difficulty. I know sopranos who have problems singing her songs. So I think it's mezzo soprano.

It is probably an alto. Unfortunately, the previous comment is very incorrect - I listen to her almost 24/7 so I know. Let's take "You Belong with Me", for example. She goes as low as F#3 and up to C#5, more than 1 octave. If you consider the background "sub-vocal"s, which I think is also done by Taylor herself, she goes as high as F#5, showing the fact that Taylor Swift is, like any other singers, able to cover 2+ octaves.

Also, the previous comment had the words "I'm a guy and I could sing any of the notes she does." Maybe if he meant that he can sing all of them an octave lower, that would have made more sense.
