The point of singing warm ups it to, what else, but warm up your voice. Especially in the winter, you should do warm ups. This helps keep your voice healthy, and makes your voice have a warmer tone..... when you warm up, you are able to clear your throat, and work on your range...it strengthens your voice, and makes you sound 1million times better. if you are able to sing without warming up then you must not be singing right. your voice needs to strecth just like your body
