Chapter 2


Halloween night; red, orange, and yellow leaves blanket the ground and kids and teenagers go around asking people for candy or else. Upon arriving at John's house Rebecca rang the doorbell with Chris and Billy behind her. "Hey guys", John said answering the door, with Samantha, in a pink princess dress, and Cory ,in a vampire costume, standing behind him both holding a Halloween bucket. "Lets go my mom says she doesn't want us out after dark", John clarified.
"How long are we doing this again", Billy probed as the group reached the end of the block.
"We are only going about 4 blocks, Billy. Chill out man", John replied, staring intensively at a girl across the street that was in his first period class. As the sunlight began to die the number of kids also trickled down. There were no more little princesses or fake ghosts, instead, there were more teens in masks and scarier costumes. "Alright guys lets head back home before my mother mounts my head on a pedestal", John said declared. Just as the group is on their way home they pass an abandoned house.
"I bet you won't go inside there for at least five minutes, Billy", Chris expressed.
"You don't know what is inside there Billy. Don't go inside", Rebecca articulated.
"What are you; chicken? I'll even give you fifty bucks", Chris taunted.
"Come on guys I have to get home", Chris demanded.
"Hold on Chris. I'm going inside", Billy responded. He walked eerily to the front steps; the winds blowing and stopping, just cracking the door an inch. He saw nothing but pitch black and faded into the darkness.
"And there it is; five minutes. He made it", Chris uttered.
"Why did you make him go in anyway? You are such a jerk", Rebecca retorted. Then, suddenly, the group hears a loud yell.
Chapter 3
"What the heck was that", Chris exclaimed.
"Ok, now its way past 5 minutes", John said.
"I think something happened to Billy,", Rebecca advised.
"Chris lets go see what is going on and Rebecca you stay out here with Samantha and Cory", John conducted. Now John and Chris walked eerily walked to the house that had some windows covered with cardboard. John opened the door slowly and took out a flashlight.
"Billy are you in here", Chris shouted. There was only a short hallway with three doors with one window. "
