Kansas is unique in so many ways. Okay so eastern Kansas is only about 700 ft above sea level, but when you get to the western border, the feet above sea level is 4000! That's more of an increase from Colorado's East border to the city it calls its "highest city." If you increase the 700 to 4000 feet but in a closer distance, it'd be almost the height of the Appalachian Mountains. What's really funny is, the place where they call Mt. Sunflower, the highest place in Kansas, well really, its just this little itty bitty bump somewhere in western KS. There's a rock, and a couple poles standing next to it, and yep that's the tourist site haha. I've always wanted to go to Pawnee Rock, this really cool landmark. The Pony Express traveled through here, we have (not the most) but some of the most dangerous tornadoes. Already said, Atchison Kansas is rumored to be the most haunted city. I've never been there, but I think it might be exciting, even if it turns out not to be real. The Keeper of the Plains is also another landmark on the Arkansas (or as we say Our Kansas) river, right next to "the place" I've called this "the place" for as long as I can remember, but its official name is The Exploration Place. They have so much neat stuff there, and an awesome kids' area. The middle of the US (not including Hawaii and Alaska) is Osbourne County, in Kansas. And when people make maps, they start at Smith County, in KS to plot the other states and everything. You should sea a Prairie Grass sea. Yeah, I know all this because we started this section in Social Studies, so don't think I do this on my own time, but still its really cool. In some ways I guess you could say Kansas is boring, but in another way, that makes it gorgeous.
