As with any vintage/antique/collectible the "value" is whatever you can get someone to pay for it. To check and see what this album is going for/has went for I would first suggest checking www.eBay.com. (Im at work and cant get on eBay to get you a ballpark figure sorry).

A genuine copy of Introducing The Beatles in mint condition is rare.
First, you must determine whether or not the record is counterfeit. It is the MOST counterfeited Beatles album. Does "The Beatles" appear above or below the center hole on the label? If the group's name is below the center hole, the record is a fake.
If the label has a colorband, does it contain the color green? If the colorband is green, it's the real thing. If not, it's bogus.
Check out the cover. Is the picture of the Beatles blurry? It's a fake. If the cover has a brown border, it's a fake.
Just because the album may still be in shrink wrap does not mean it's real. Look carefully at the track listings on the cover. A flaw will appear in the word, Honey" in the title "A Taste of Honey." If the letters H and E are missing ink in their upper left parts, the cover is a fake. And most likely, so is the record inside.
You can buy a new sealed copy of The Beatles White Album from a specialist Vinyl Record retailer like 1NOTE (see link below).
It depends on which album, like such as if it was the first ever released, then it would be worth a lot. BUT... if it was just any random album, then not a lot=D
You can buy the 2009 Remaster on Amazon for about £7/$9
I don't know what its worth but I can tell you that one like you describe did NOT sell for $60 on eBay
