Ithaca did not manufacture any high powered rifles, but did import and distribute some on different occasions in partnership with LSA and BSA in particular. Sounds like what you have is an "Ithaca-BSA" bolt action sold between 1976 and 1978. It was available in both the 300 Win mag and the 7 mm Rem mag. Retail price at that time was $319.95
Current value would probably be somewhere between $125 and $175, depending on which Model 49 it is (Saddlegun, Youth, Magnum, Deluxe, or Presentation. Don't recall original price, but suspect it was around $50. The Model 49R (repeater) was $59.99 in 1969.

well i wanted to know what my 16 gauge featherlight Ithaca how old it was and how much it was worth i called Ithaca arms gun co. out of Ohio because they are no longer made in Ithaca New York so that's your best bet
