The Venus Guns were one of the really promising bands to come out of London around 2005/2006, during the indie explosion that happened in the East of the capital. During their career (which now seems to have ended) they toured with LA rock band Buckcherry, appeared with My Vitriol at Guilfest and frequently played around Islington and Shoreditch. They released an EP and a single to wide acclaim and managed to secure a fanbase stateside, which many of their peers struggled to do - probably owing to their 'Americanised' classic rock style. The band still have a myspace page which features tracks and videos though their website seems to be unmanaged to date. A great guitar band with a really good vocalist and seemingly everything going for them, it is a wonder that the band aren't enjoying a successful and continuing career...
