What is the best way to build strength and get good at traditional grip in marching snare?

There is a good exercise using a drumstick that strengthens forearms and wrist.Bit difficult to describe it,but you could try gripping the drumstick in two hands, and turn the hands in opposite directions all the way around the stick two or three times.
