According to the horn-u-copia web site (see related link below), your Imperial euphonium was manufactured in 1975.
from the information I have gathered on an old Besson I have it looks like yours would be 1892-1894. while I am not an expert, these are published on several sites available on line. My reference in this estimate was available on musictrader.com Hope this helps you. Mike
There could be any number of reasons to use flutter tongue (growling noise effect) on the Euphonium. In all honesty, it depends on the composer and the situation. In jazz-type songs, like George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, it's mostly used as decoration. In some classical songs, like Frank Tichelli's Angels in the Architecture, it's used to build tension and angst. Most of the time, though, Trombonists are the ones who are asked to use flutter tongue. The mellow sound of the Euphonium doesn't generally suit itself for the biting, growling tone of the flutter tongue.
The Nirschl Euphoniums made after 2009 were made in Brazil at the Weril Brass factory and yes, they are good euphoniums. They are well made and built heavy for a nice dark sound like the old English made Besson horns. I would not recommend the Nirschls that were initially made in India. The latest Nirschls made in Brazil were well thought out, designed and engineered in Indiana and Germany.

Can't be answered without knowing who made it.
The 2 letters in your serial number identify the year of manufacture for your browning cynergy as 2004.
to secure an accurate manufacture date the FULL serial number is needed.
People assume the "CE" number is the year of manufacture - wrong. The YoM is encrypted in the serial number - a dealer may help out with this
