What is the fine for an expired inspection - I drive a company owned car - they won't fix it so it will pass. They are looking for a new car - and knowingly are making me drive this car. My question is - who gets the ticket ? me or company - and what is the ruling -- cash or cash and points ?
Thank you
There is nothing to fight. The expiration date on a vehicle inspection ticket is a matter of fact. If it was expired, you owe the fine and there is no way out of it.
7000 dollars or 6 months in jail.

legally, 0 years 0 weeks 0 days 0 hours 0 minutes and 0 seconds :) take that car to an inspection quick and go there only, you will still run the risk of getting pulled over with expired decals and get a ticket even if you say I was going to the inspection. Get a new decal before the previous one expires next time.
It is a $500 fine for parking and a handicap space if you are not handicap

The fine for an expired vehicle registration in New York is a minimum of $40 if it has been less then 60 days. If it has been more then 60 days, then the fine will be a minimum of $70. The maximum fine to pay can reach to $300, plus a $93 surcharge.
In PA you had til the court date to get it inspected.I have had that problem.
In New York City, you may be able to have an expired inspection ticket dismissed if you get your vehicle inspected immediately after receiving the ticket. Upon presenting proof of a valid inspection to the court, the judge may consider dismissing the ticket. However, this is not guaranteed, and it’s best to address the ticket promptly and follow the court's specific procedures for contesting it.
In New York, driving with expired vehicle registration can result in a fine ranging from $25 to $100. Additionally, there may be additional fees and penalties, depending on how long the registration has been expired. It's also possible to incur points on your driving record. For the most accurate and current information, it's advisable to check with the New York Department of Motor Vehicles or local law enforcement.
