If you hear the lyrics correctly they say "We have reached the Covenant" Which is the alien army at war with the humans and they also say "Spartans stand alone" Which, what a coincidence is what the main character of halo is, Spartan 117 Master chief. So yes this song is about war.... The Halo war and the lyrics of This war is ours(The Guillotine part II) Also mention a Spartan standing alone shouting this war is ours. Also if you watch the Xbox live interview here "http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=i0IgJpK9_dg" You will notice they say both songs WERE Written about halo they also mention the their song The flood is a halo reference as well. All in all The guillotine part 1 and part II Are halo songs as well as the flood so Escape the fate rocks and all you fan-boys out there get pumped coz im here to represent us all!!!

I totally agree with him, the song is about halo. I read an interview of the band and, yes, it is. Also, This War Is Ours (The Guillotine Pt. II) is ALSO about Halo. :/ I LOVE ESCAPE THE FATE!! (: and also, fan boys rock.

*Ahem* Sorry, you guys, but I'm pretty sure that Ronnie never intended a Halo reference. As for the interview, it's with CRAIG as the singer, NOT Ronnie. Therefore, he doesn't necessarily know if it was written about Halo. As you may or may not know, Ronnie struggled with many issues in his life--the absence of his mother, and one we probably all know about, his struggle with drugs. Now keeping this in mind: The battled starts adversaries

We've spawned to fight in the darkest hour "We bathe in our blood" can definitely be a reference to cutting. "To kill what we have started" It's an internal struggle with something that's clearly very dark and dangerous. We stay here tonight (don't let them find us or we're dead)

"Charge the gates with rust on their gears/They seek destruction and kill the functions" The darkness fights his defense, or the gates, and the darkness is something from the past, hence the "with rust on their gears". The darkness seeks to destroy him. To "kill the function" is to essentially bring an end to him--him being the purpose that it (the darkness) exists.
