My dad says it's a saying. When he was younger people use to say he showed me his teeth or he showed me his claws when someone judges you before getting to know you. So in terms of the song, it could be that she wants the guy to show his true self to her. Or maybe she doesnt care about his true self and she just wants sex from him?
