It's actually callled " Anything For Love" and is from his 'Back Into Hell' album of 1993.
It's about a man whose so in love with a woman that he declares that he'd do anything for her- she's a complex and maybe somewhat disturbed character, and he's more than aware of her faults, but his passion and fascination for her overrides all of this and he's being driven half-mad by his love for her. The lyrics declare how much she has taken him over completely, making him obsessive and unable to think about anything else.
In the end, the girl asks him if he can make some of her wishes come true- if he can get her out of the dead-end town where she lives, help her make something of her life, cater for her emotional needs etc. He declares that yes, he can, but then she begins doubting him, singing that she doesn't believe that his love for her will last, that it's only a passing thing and that he'll end up being unfaithful to her. This he denies- the song ends ambiguously, with the listener unsure as to whether she finally believes him or not.
The song "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" was written by well-respected songwriter Jim Steinman, who had already written hit songs for a number of artists, including Meatloaf. Songwriters usually audition their new songs for popular singers, and the songwriter hopes one of the singers will like a song and decide to record it. In this case, that is exactly what happened-- Meatloaf thought this song was a potential hit, and he was right. The song was nominated for several GRAMMY Awards and it reached Number One on the Billboard charts in 1993.
