I think the Two Most brutal songs is Unanswered by Suicide Silence and/or My Fears Have become Phobias by As Blood Runs Black.
Pretty much all of their songs are about Gore, Death, and torture in the most brutal way. Make Them Suffer is about Death to ALL Emo's.
There were countries where they've been banned, most notably, Australia and Germany, although both of those countries have since lifted said bans. You could probably still find countries particularly in the Middle East and Northern Africa where they are banned, though.

A few of those would be the classics: In Flames, Dark Tranquility, and At the Gates with Kalmah, Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, Scar Symmetry, Soilwork, Eternal Tears of Sorrow, Insomnium and an additional three of my personal favorites: Gates of Ishtar, The Crown and Lunarsea. There are many more with most of them not being as popular and often underrated as is the case of the last three. It really depends on who you think sounds best to you.
