Because when you become an adult you become more concerned with your health, and because the longer you smoke the more dangerous it is. No teenager ever died of smoking, but once you reach 20 pack years or heart attack age, the risk that you'll die from it becomes significant. Also, because people tend to start and stop in groups. When enough people in your age group stop smoking, you start feeling pressure to do the same thing.

∙ 13y agoThe most common reason is that of smoking being very bad for you and ruining your lungs. Smoking kills people because of the nicotiene in it and the tobacco.
