There are plenty of them, but be warned, many of them are from neighbouring countries, 'borrowed' into Chinese culture. Chinese instrumentation is divided into several categories depending on their composition, ie. 'silk' for string instruments or 'skin' for drums. Some Chinese instruments work in ways similar to Western instruments, eg. the erhu and morin khuur which work like fiddles or violins, some which may seem a little unfamiliar, such as the guquin, a type of Zither, or the pipa, related to the lute. A few simply have no Western comparisons, such as the sheng, which is somewhere between a pipe organ and a harmonica. Really, it takes seeing and hearing them to know them. I find YouTube an invaluable source of music, try typing some of the instrument names into it.
