Why doesn't harry potter have parents?
He did but when he was a baby, Voldemort killed his mum and dad whilst they were trying to protect Harry. After that he tried to kill Harry but it backfired on himself and thats why Harry has the thunderbolt scar on his head which causes him great pain when Voldermort is around or gaining power. Throughout the series Harry has many flashbacks of that moment and learns the truth about what happened. He also sees his mother and father a few times. They were called James Potter and Lily Potter.
