I was just listening to my Ultimate Tony Bennett CD...listen the piano in the background to "I left my heart in San Francisco"...

it will sound familiar.

Never noticed it before.

Forget the Tony Bennett ,that answer is way out of the ball park.

I don`t recall the Canadian musicians name but I can tell you that the original title for the piece is called Breeze.The artist wrote this for his newborn daughter.Not sure on the story of how it was adopted for the show.

The composer's name is Blain Morris.

I'm not sure about the above info, after hearing the piano riff in Johnny Mathis' song- "Its Not for Me to Say"

If anything- the theme is directly pulled from that inspiration.

It's called 'Breeze' by Blain Morris. Blain is a friend of Mike Clattenberg and the song was originally written for Blain's newborn daughter. I understand that the name of the song has been changed to 'Trailer Park Boys Theme'.
