The Star Spangled Banner, written by Francis Scott Key in 1814.

It goes like this:

O say can you see

By the dawn's early light

What so proudly we hailed

At the twilight's last gleaming

Whose broad stripes and bright stars

Through the perilous fight

O'er the ramparts we watched

Were so gallantly streaming

And the rocket's red glare

The bombs bursting in air

Gave proof through he night

That our flag was still there

O say, does that star-spangled banner

Yet wave

O'er the land of the free

And the home of the brave

(This is the first and most well-known verse; most people stop here.)
