I think the main things to do are to make sure that when you are writing the rhythm, that the rhythm you put in the empty bar adds up to the time signature at the beginning, e.g. 3/4- basically that you don't have too many or too few beats per bar.
Also, check that you've beamed/joined up the notes correctly so that they clearly show the beats. If it was in 3/4, like said, you wouldn't do groups of 3 quavers because the 4 in the time signature shows that the beats are measured in crotchets and 3 quavers makes a dotted crotchet. So you would have to do groups of 2 quavers.
As well, make sure that you don't just repeat the musical material that they have given you to start off with and I think ending your rhythm on a long note is a good idea (like a minim or something).
I hope that this helps and I haven't overcomplicated things. Good luck if you're doing the Grade 3 exam soon!

The rhythm in music is the pattern of notes and the pulse is the constant beat of the music. For example, in one measure, there could be four beats composed of an eigth-note syncopated rhythm.

A four beat bar could have any number of notes; from one whole note, to four quarter notes, to eight eighth notes, even 64 64th notes. It depends on the rhythm of the bar in question.
The rhythm section in jazz provides the beat and groove to a song. Generally the four musicians who make up the rhythm section are a bassist, pianist, drummer and a guitarist.

The four main biological rhythms are the circadian rhythm (24-hour cycle), ultradian rhythm (less than 24-hour cycle), infradian rhythm (more than 24-hour cycle), and seasonal rhythm. These rhythms regulate various physiological processes such as sleep-wake cycles, hormone release, and body temperature.
