The sounds of an acoustic guitar do NOT come directly from the strings. The vibrations of the strings travel through the bridge into the soundboard (top, or whatever you want to call the part with the sound hole) and the waves created by the air coming in and out of the sound hole create the sound you hear. In an electric guitar the strings create a magnetic wave by waving over the pickups which are just high tech magnets that transfer the electrical signal to you lead.
all guitars create sound using the vibration of the strings. on acoustic Guitars the vibrations from the strings travel through the hollow body and make it loud without being plugged in. electric guitars use pickups that either have magnetic poles or rails that pick up the vibrations from the strings and amplify them when the guitar is plugged in.
The stings frequency varies depending on how short or long the string is when played.
That frequency excites the magnetic poles and windings around it and sends small voltage signals to the amplifer that boosts the signal so you can hear it. Same concept as the telephone.
An electric guitar
The difference between an electric guitar and an air guitar is a electric guitar is an actual guitar and an air guitar is imaginary. An air guitar is when people pretend to play a guitar with hand movements. An electric guitar converts vibrations of its steelcorded strings into electric current. These currents then go to a amplifier to make them louder.
Yes. The first electric guitar was on the market in 1932, the first electric bass guitar was on the market in 1935.
you can't because the neck of the bass guitar is to long for an electric guitar case.
an electric guitar can cost from £50 to £2000

An electric base guitar is usually tuned an octave lower than an electric lead guitar.
Electric guitar!!!
An acoustic electric guitar differs from a standard electric guitar in the fact that a standard electric guitar depends solely on the electricity of the amplifier to convert the string vibration. An acoustic electric guitar also has also a microphone which will magnify and convert the sound.

They are called strings. Really! <a href="http://www.buildmyelectricguitar.com/electric-guitar/">My Electric Guitar build</a>
Electric guitar by far.
Why not? She has electric guitar in her music.
Yes. An acoustic-electric guitar plugs into an amplifier the same way a regular electric guitar does.
