From the latest CD by Tokio Hotel, That Day is a bonus track on CD's sold in the United States.

For me, this is one of the hardest songs to listen to; it's simply too emotional. My personal opinion is that the song is about someone who, when they were young, suffered from either mental or emotional trauma, or saw something traumatic that resulted in them being sent away from home and to some place to "get better."

They were told that they could come home, that "time heals the pain" but that no matter how many doctors they've seen or how long they've been treated, the pain is still there, they "still feel broken."

They've learned to keep the whatever thing they've experienced inside, and to themselves, either in an effort to be let return home, or because no matter who they see or what the treatment they've received, and everyone saying they are fixed, the screams are still there in their head.

And as in most Tokio Hotel songs, there is always a glimmer of hope...whoever this is holds the hope that "that day" will come and they will be okay, someday. They never let go.

I'm not sure this song exists in a German version; if it does, it is possible the lyrics are different as Tokio Hotel does not record word for word translations in their English and German versions.
