It happened in the Spector"s California mansion. Ronnie and her mother managed to save themsleves by locking themselves in the guest bathroom and taking up ( defensive battle stations) in the tub and on the floor- I gather Ronnie was in the tub, Mom ( beatrice) on the floor. nothing was leaked to the papers. It is one of a number of incidents in the book (Be My Baby) that just doesn"t stand up to critical analysis- it may have happened- it could have been merely a family argument out of hand. Thankfully the next stop was not the White Room ( the Morgue)- but that can happen!
