It's not really handmade by Karl Knilling. Karl Knilling is just a ficticious trade name for German-made violins imported and sold by U.S. BAND & ORCHESTRA SUPPLIES, INC from St. Louis, Missouri. Your model, in good shape and set up with a good bridge and strings, a bow and the hardshell case it probably came in, might fetch about $250 in excellent condition, and about $150 if it shows signs of wear and use. That's not to say they're cheap instruments, but because they're mass-produced student level instruments, they're never going to be worth much. The model you have was probably made in the late 1980s to early 1990s.
i was given acremona cello serial#81150, model fecta/anno/domini 20. does anyone know the value?
I have the exact same model here, i cant tell if it's genuine, because the last 2 numbers of the year are bigger than the 2 first, but i saw some that are newer than this, being valued over 3000 dollars ;)
It depends what the brand is. Look inside the f hole and there should be a brand label stuck on the inside and possibly the year it was made. You will need to take it to a violin shop to get a good estimate of the value. The least expensive celli are sold for about $100. The most expensive "regular" ones, like the ones used by symphony members, are in the $100,000 - $250,000 range. Collectible celli can run $1mm and higher.
Suicide rate for Romania in 2004: 12,5 per 100 000; not published data for Bucharest, very probable similar value.

Local currency in Bucharest is the same as in all of Romania namely the Leu (RON in exchange office terms). To get an approximate idea of its value , the 12 dec. 2008 the exchange rate is around 3,9000 RON = 1 EUR 18 May 2010: 1 euro = 4,1949 lei

To increment a value by 1, you have 4 choices:value++;++value;value += 1;value = value + 1;Pre and post processing incrementation/decrementation refers to the first two: ++value and value++.Both do exactly the same, as both will increase the value of 'value' by one.If we have a situation like this:int value = 0;int value1 = 0;value1 = value++;This essentially means:value1 = value;value = value + 1;Where ++value means:value = value + 1;value1 = value;

The difference threshold, also known as the just noticeable difference (JND), is the minimum amount by which two stimuli must differ for a person to perceive them as distinct. It is a key concept in psychophysics that helps understand how sensitive our senses are to changes in stimuli. The difference threshold varies depending on the type of stimulus and individual differences in perception.
