Although they are antiques, they were made by the proverbial "gazillions". If you pay $1.50 for 1 bona fide "rare" record u r close to paying too much. ******* Oh gosh yes. I agree! You can find the red Columbias by the truck load. Even the blue Columbias and Flag Columbias of the 20's are just everywhere. The two major companies of the time were Victor and Columbia and their records are all over the place. Even in mint condition they are only worth about a dollar or two. I wouldn't pay more than that. But now as years go by and they get more scarce, the price may go up but I wouldn't hold my breath for another 50 years or so. The high price stuff comes in the rare jazz and blues records of the 1920's and the black R&B and doo-wop records of the mid 1950's.

When the jukebox is fully working and in perfectly restored condition the value can be up to € 12,500,- (about US$ 16,500)

******

no no no! Don't mislead. They aren't that expensive. Fully restored, depending on how far the restoration is, at the most, about $6000.00 or a little more. They are kind of a hot box at the moment. It also depends on what mechanism is in it. If it is the 104 select, that is the most common and commands a lower price - still lofty - but lower. The 200 select is the rarer and hotter item. The model numbers would be the 1900 for the 104 select.

The 2000 was for the 200 select and had the animated turning pages for the title strips. That's what the collectors are after. The unique page turning mechanism.

But! Always remember, the value of a jukebox is only what somebody is willing to pay for it. An unrestored Wurlitzer 1900 or 2000 from 1956 would be about $1500.00 - $1700.00 complete, and with that I mean everything is there. Not working but there. The coin gear, the back doors - lots of these boxes were parted out to newer boxes when things needed replacing in the newer boxes.

It's due to it being a classic silver era jukebox with all the chrome and the visability of the record changing mechanism. The 1700 - 2100 are the most sought after these days. Pretty easy to restore too. Not much to them vs. the Seeburgs of the same era.

OK, I registered just to respond to the above post.

I have been tracking the actual sale prices for this particular jukebox (1956 Wurlitzer Centennial) for the last two years, prior to buying one in 2009 that is in good working order with all original parts. You should expect to pay $9500 to $15000 for this jukebox. And possibly more, for a perfectly restored model. Even 'wrecks' that require serious restoration have been going for $5000 to $7000 lately.

If the guy above can tell me where to find a fully restored Wurlitzer 2000 for $6,000, I'll buy all he can supply.

I agree about the $5,000 to $7,000 for a complete unrestored Wurlitzer 2000. The 1900's are very pricey as well if in nice condition. I watch and track many Wurlitzers that sell. The last 2000 I saw sell that was unrestored and complete sold for just over $7,900. It was a nice clean original jukebox. I would REALLY like to find the complete $1,500 to $1,700 wurlitzer 1900's and 2000's mentioned above. Please send them my way!

I used to have a 1956 Centennial 2000 in perfect condition. I bought it in 1984 for $1600. Wish I still had it.

28/09/2010.

I have a wurlitzer 2000 that has just been restored to basically as new condition, the cost was £12,000. This is to answer the original question and not the above quote.

I am guessing it is a VV XVII or a VE XVII.

As for value, we are talking at least $500 depending on condition.

It’s now 2020. Anyone know what the value currently is?

I heard that in the U.S. It’s worth less than the UK.
