Either take it into a Local music shop or go on Google and look up Fender Squier Strat serial numbers and punch in the number for instance with my 1994 Fender Mexican Stratocaster i would go on Google type in "fender Mexican stratocaster serial numbers" and it would pull up a Fender.com and i would look since mine is MN352234 I would look for "MN3+ 5 digits1993-1994" and i would find out that my guitar is either a 1993 or 1994 Fender Mexican Stratocaster Hope this helps Jesse Craig.
Conventional wisdom would say '96. The first digit indicates country of origin, and the second letter, N, stands for the decade of production; in this case, the 90's. The first number that follows these two letters stands for the year of that decade. Example: YN5XXXXX would be '95, YN7XXXXX would be '97, etc.
The bass was made in 1992, by Cort. Value? No idea, except to say that it's far less than those made in Japan or the US.
This guitar was made in 2007 in Indonesia.
The answer is that serial number E909095 is a genuine Fender serial number dating from 1989.
2004

like to be made in Korea by Sunghan around 1996 check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squier
CY indicates this is a Squier product manufactured by Yako in China (hence the CY) sometime after 1995. Unfortunately, Fender does not provide its own serialization information for Chinese-made Squier products online like it does for its other instruments. Fortunately, though, decoding this is pretty basic, and the formula is available at other sites if you do a little searching - just look at the first two numbers AFTER the CY prefix to find the year. In your case, that's "01," indicating the guitar was built in 2001.

The phone number of the Fender Museum is: 951-735-2440.
Don't take this the wrong way, but roughly 70 bucks at the most. Squire is the watered down Fender look a likes that Fender also happens to own. Not very high quality sorry to say. However, a long time ago Fender used to make a guitar I believe was called the Squire but it was the name of the guitar not the sub brand, for lack of a better term. That might be worth quite a few bucks but don't get your hopes up because if it looks anything like new and if it says "Squire by Fender" then you're out of luck.
