Demi Lovato used to be a depressed cutter. She stopped a while ago but ever since she started touring with the Jonas Bros for Camp Rock 2: The Finale Jam her depression began acting up again. (Some say because she still liked Jo Jonas, after breaking up, and was upset that he was bringing around his new girlfriend to the tours) So she anonymously dropped out, decided she needed help, and checked into rehab.

Demi Lovato doesn't take drugs or anything like that.

Demi Lovato has dealt with quite a few personal problems. She was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder, which causes mood swings and periods of severe depression. From a very young age she has struggled with body image. First she began over-eating, and then starting binging and purging (a cycle known as bulimia) in order to keep from gaining weight. She also cut herself. Demi sought treatment for her problems and seems to be doing better now, though she says that it is a constant battle and she will never be completely "cured" of her problems.
