Obviously, much of his love-life remains private and personal, but his first partner was a secretary called Linda Woodrow, to whom he was engaged in the late 1960s but this was later broken off.

He married a German recording engineer called Renate Blauel in April 1984, but they divorced four years later when he realised that he was inclining towards being totally gay rather than bisexual. He entered into a long-term relationship with former advertising executive David Furnish in 1993, and they had a civil partnership on 21st December 2005. In december 2010, they had a baby son called Zachary by a surrogate mother.

He has probably had more relatiionships than this, but these remain private, undisclosed and his own buisness.
