What made Selena Quintanilla a hero?

Selena became a role model and a hero for her fans because she showed them that she could do what she loved most and still live her life. She also taught them that just because she was "famous" she didn't let it get to her head like most artists and she basically was an amazing singer and she died at a very young age but she lived her life the way SHE wanted and she didn't let anybody let her think otherwise. Many many people loved Selena and would want her to be their role model and i agree. :)

Selena was the first woman to make it in the Tejano music world winning several grammys. She gave to many charities and helped a lot of people. Her character was admirable and her upbringing/life story to where she made it by the young age she got killed at 23 is incredible. She is a hero through everything she accomplished for the Mexican American people, women, and artists.
