What makes a good piece of music?

There are many things that make a good tune. One is keeping the notes near each other on the keyboard and not spread apart. And if you can sing the tune back easily! You could choose chords to go with the tune because it might be a bit bare otherwise. You could also start and end on he same note. Hope these tips help you!!

Well, the best way to obtain a good melody is to have a sudden inspiration for a tune that feels beautiful or moving when you sing it to yourself, but, although inspiration is nice when it happens, you have to have a method for the rest of the time. :)

You need to be experimental and mix up the tempo dynamics etc until it sounds like a good tune. Then try to repeat the beat/phrase as much as you can so that it will stick in your head. But don't repeat it too much otherwise it will become quite annoying i.e. 'never gonna give you up' - Rick Astley. They also need good instruments (not like the most expensive, but ones that will play the music the best e.g. it would be better to use Electric Guitar instead of a Saxophone in a rock song. It also needs to be sung by a good/well known singer. Because then it will draw attention.
