That's quite a general question and difficult to answer :)
It's similar to "how long is a piece of string"?
Since recording studio equipment varies so greatly with regards to quality, the simplest answer to your question would be: "whatever works best for you".
At Digital Sound Magic Recording Studios, we use whatever piece of gear will make the music better. A few weeks ago I had a client that used a stick and a cardboard box instead of a $2000 drum kit!
So purchase whatever you can afford, but don't let this question prevent you from recording! Use whatever you have and get creative!
Studio microphones can be purchased online and in store from most stores that specialized in electronics. But if you are looking for a good quality professional microphone, it is best to visit a music shop. You can do this online, but most cities and towns have at least one music shop where one can get advice as what they need for the project they are undertaking.
Usually when recording Bass Guitar, you use Direct Injection, rather than using a microphone. or you could use an sm57 or a d112 or even an akg414.
A Neumann U87 is a studio standard, and an excellent microphone for recording.

You have to record them yourself.
If you have a Guitar Hero guitar, you have to play multiplayer. For the first Rock Band, you can't play bass on Solo Tour mode, but it allows you to on every other one. You use the guitar controller normally and, right before playing a song, it will ask you which of the two (guitar or bass) you would like to play. Select bass and it will have you play bass notes. On Rock Band 2, you do the same thing. This version allows you to play bass on every mode.
Bass guitar by FAR. Even if you're talking about a bass flute, a bass guitar would still be almost 2 octaves lower.
guitar, drums, bass and microphone
You get the instruments of an average band, which would be guitar, bass, drums, and vocals, so the answer is no.
