Rock'n'roll, swing etc in the early 60s, then as bands like the Beatles came through pop, and as the early rockers came through rock. Also, in the mid to late 60s there was a craze for the blues.

∙ 7y agoRock and roll was just starting in the 1950's. People like Elvis began to sing, there was the Big Bopper, and the music industry was still segregated. The first African American that had an integrated show was ray Charles. The music of the 50's was the foundation for today's rock and roll and it is still played.
