Elvis was a baritone, primarily, most of his notes were between g2 and g4 on piano...his extraordinary range allowed him to go to g4# a4,b4flat and b4 natural, which are usually tenor notes.what was most interesting to me was the way he would"shade" or "color" his notes to make them sound intense.so with his two and a half octave range,he could sing anything.the key he sang in depended on the song.
