If you learned music theory, including reading and sight reading sheet music, as opposed to playing improv with no reading skills, the fortunate thing is that you are ready to play any band instrument you like, and the theory is not going to be an obstacle. It depends really on your interest. I knew piano when I started high school and I took up the trombone. It was great fun, and it was easy since I already knew how to read. You will find it easy to pick up any instrument you want.
Just write the notes on masculine tape then paste the tape on the correct key and write in the notes on the music sheet. Next help your child to memorize the correct notes on their correct places .This process is sight reading. Your child will get used to practicing without looking at their notes. When you observe that your child is playing without looking at their notes, remove the masculine tape and from there they will begin practicing sight reading. I hope this was helpful information
That is one of the most difficult questions to answer without seeing the instrument. It is like asking what a car is worth sight unseen. Especially with an older piano. It varies considerably with things such as, how often has this piano been tuned? Who was the tuner. Believe it or not but, there is a world of difference between one tuner and the next. There is also a world of difference between the piano that has been tuned yearly and those that have been tuned every 10 years or longer. Everyone thinks their particular piano is in marvelous condition because they have dusted and polished it. Especially when the outside looks nice. However, as piano technicians, the piano is judged mostly by the insides. That, is what matters most. Without seeing the piano, it is impossible to give an honest opinion. It could be worth $50, or $2,000. Again, depending on the previous care along with the location of the piano. Hire a good technician in your area to look at it. They will be your best bet for answering this question in full.

You only have to bring your piano pieces book not your scales or sight reading.
If you are sight reading in a music competition, following the crescendos and decrescendos may gain you extra points, although they are usually not required. If you are sight reading to learn a piece, you should start with the rhythm and the notes, and then add on the dynamics when you are comfortable with the basics of the piece.
You do your pieces, scales, aural tests and sight reading
if you play a piece by learning it by memory then that is all fine until you come to the sight reading part of your graded exams. This is why reading music whilst playing is important, so you can sight read more easily.

Try playing this game: http://martypapa.blogspot.com/2009/06/fast-keys.html It definitely helps you to learn, and fast. And http://pianosheetmusiconline.com/how-to-practice-sight-reading-piano-music/
To sight read, it is important to understand how music theory works. On the piano, a helpful tip to sight reading is playing one measure while reading the next measure after it. If you mess up, it is already too late to go back and fix it. When sight reading, you are not looking for perfect keys. Instead, you are looking for timing and pacing of the music to keep it continuous. To practice, you can purchase a book of songs and randomly play songs one right after another. Sight reading does not come naturally, so daily practice is essential to improve these skills.
Practice, practice, practice, especially from many different songs in as many different keys as possible. Try to practice at least an hour a day.
What on earth is a "sight reader"?
