ok well this all depends if you are a begginer you should start out at about an "2" in the reed selection after about 1 year you could move up tp a 2 1/2 depending on how well you play and how offten you play!
i would suggest you use vandoren reeds that come in a blue box. they usually have a good sound. make sure you alternate reeds so that you don't wear out one reed to quickly.
