SINGING IN THE RAIN
The Statler Brothers began their career in Staunton, Virginia in 1955. This quartet first performed gospel music in churches in their area. They first called themselves "The Four Star Quartet" and then "The Kingsmen".
No.
To my knowledge, the Statler Brother's didn't use fake names, because 3 or the 4 male group members are actually brothers. This included the Reid brothers, Harold, Don, and Lew. Phil Balsley was the fourth member of the group. Lew, had to retire in the late 1970's, due to health problems. Jimmy Fortune took his place with the group. Lew would die on August 15, 1990. But all five members that are known as the Statler Brothers, were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008. EDIT: Lew was not a brother to Harold and Don - his name was Lew DeWitt. The Statlers used the persona of Lester "Roadhog" Moran and the Cadillac Cowboys on part of one album, and later did an entire comedy album in those roles.
Every sheet music company has the music listed. Once on the site, it is not available, but similar music titles are. The old bait and switch.
