VooDoo Child (Slight Return), recorded on his 1984 album "Couldn't Stand the Weather"
Jimi is my favorite and is known to be the most famous and talented. But its your choice not mine to decide. Stevie was a HUGE Hendrix fan and emulated Hendrix's looks, guitar moves and style after Jimi. He said he was honoring Hendrix, not trying to be Hendrix because no one, in his opinion, was as good as Hendrix.
he's like jimi hendrix, he was the band; but double trouble did tour with him
It's "Little Wing" and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Sting and everyone else under the sun covered it.
I believe that Stevie Wonder has sold more records than Jimi Hendrix. While both men are extremely talented and innovative, I think more people can relate to Stevie's music than Jimi's.
Well, honey, everyone and their grandma is a Jimi Hendrix fan! From rock legends like Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page to modern-day artists like John Mayer and Lenny Kravitz, Hendrix's influence is everywhere. Even folks like Prince and Stevie Ray Vaughan have been known to bow down to the guitar god himself.

Depends on what style of guitar you like. No doubt as a shredder, Yngwie was far more technically proficient and revolved his style around the diminished E scale, however, Jimi had more interesting songs and had that soul aspect that technical playing can't always bring.
John Mayer has been influenced by Eric Johnson, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, John Scofield, and Herbie Hancock.
