There are many themes for "Peter and the Wolf". Each character has its own theme, and the music was composed by Prokofiev. The music is published by Boosey and Hawkes, and is also available in other editions in countries where copyright has expired.
The first musical excerpt from an opera is from Mozart's "DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE" (The Magic Flute) and is the famous "Queen of the Night" Aria. The second classical selection is actually not from an opera at all. It is the theme from a ballet by Tchaikovsky called "Swan Lake." Since it is a ballet, all of the music is instrumental.
Fela Kuti didn't have a perticular theme to his music but if you insist he did, you'd be most accurate if you said his theme was jazz.
Peggy's Theme
The theme from the soap opera "The young And The Restless", later re-titled "Nadia's Theme".
A leitmotif is a musical clue to a character. Usually, it is employed to foreshadow the appearance of a character, or to 'call' a character into a situation where the character's attributes could change the outcome of a situation. Leitmotif has its roots in opera, notably the Ring Cycle by Richard Wagner.

Opera
If you mean the opera scene from the movie "Philadelphia" (which used Springsteen's Streets of Philadelphia) as a theme tune), it was the aria "La Mamma Morta" ("They killed my mother") sung by Maria Callas from a performance of the 1896 opera Andréa Chenier by Giordino.
