All the thieves were issued Smith & Wesson 659 pistols chambered in 9mm. Mr White (Harvey Keitel) uses a Smith & Wesson 639 (which is the character's personal backup gun), and uses it and his gang issued S&W 659 pistol in both hands during a shootout. Mr. Pink (Steve Buscemi) also has a Smith & Wesson 669 in a shoulder holster but never uses it (instead favoring the 659 that he has been issued by the gang). Nice Guy Eddie (Chris Penn) uses a Smith & Wesson Model 66 Snub nosed revolver (.357 magnum). Mr. Orange (Tim Roth) also has two backup pistols - a Beretta Jetfire (.25 acp) and a Charter Arms Off Duty with Pachmayr grips (.38 special). Joe Cabot (Lawrence Tierney) and a female carjacking victim both use nickel plated Colt Detective Special Revolvers (.38 Special), and all the LAPD officers seen on screen carry S&W Model 19 revolvers (.357 magnum).

Marshal Dillon carried a Colt Single Action Army (sometimes known as a Peacemaker) with a 7 1/2 inc barrel. Most other handguns were also Colts or occassionaly Derringers. Rifles were mostly Winchester Model 92 (incorrect for the period) and at least once a Sharps rifle used by a mountain man type.
