The next hit would be, "Keep on the Sunny Side," also in 1928. In 1943, A.P. and Sara retired from music. Maybelle continued to perform with her daughters (June, Anita, and Helen), as Mother Maybelle and the Carter Sisters. Some other hits for the Carter Family included: "Gold Watch and Chain" ~ "Thinking Tonight of My Blue Eyes" ~ "The Worried Man Blues" ~ "Will the Circle be Unbroken" ~ and "Hello Stranger." The Carter Family was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1970.
