The red "X" on Avril Lavigne's "Under My Skin" CD is a stylistic choice that symbolizes the themes of rebellion and emotional struggle present in the album. It visually represents the raw and edgy tone of the music, reflecting Lavigne's transition from her earlier pop-punk sound to a more mature and introspective style. The design contributes to the album's overall aesthetic, emphasizing its darker and more complex lyrical content.
