What was the first rock concert at the Philadelphia Spectrum?

The first concert that I can remember attending at the Spectrum was called "The First Quaker City Rock Festival" Wait till you hear this lineup. And these are only the ones I remember. I believe there were more! Moby Grape, Big Brother and the Holding Company (yes, with Janice), The Chambers Brothers, and the headliner The Vanilla Fudge. I want to say that Todd Rundgren, then with Woody's Truck Stop opened, but I'm not really sure.

I must have been about thirteen or fourteen at the time. This show went on into the wee hours. There were very few people left for the Fudge. My dad actually came into the Spectrum after me and found me...wow. Way past my bedtime.

I attended countless shows at the Spectrum, being a close neighbor, and would love to see a list, if one exists, of all the shows there.

I was about the same age and I saw four groups that night, Moby Grape, Bib Brother, Quicksilver Messenger Service and Vanilla Fudge.

Maybe it ran two nights but I only saw that one. Later saw the Chambers Brothers at the Atlantic City Rock Festival -

Don't forget the Buddy Guy's Blues Band was the opener and the ticket was 5 bucks !!!
