If the arthropods went extinct, it would SERIOUSLY threaten human civilization. For one thing, bees are arthropods and they pollinate most of our food crops. Ants aerate the soil. Spiders keep a lot of insects in check. Without spiders we'd be knee deep in bugs everywhere! Crustaceans are good to eat.

Sorry, but while sea scorpions used to exist, they are now extinct. They lived about 390 million years ago.
