No. Abba represented Sweden in the 1974 Eurovision song contest, though the event was held in England (Brighton) that year.
Nobody ! Abba composed the song ,sang it in Swedish ,and released it in many countries including US (top 30) but in Britain ,they made a mistake and released an old song (from the previous year) Ring ring which flopped ,while a cover version by sweet dreams duo made it to the top10. featured in the album "waterloo" , it made a place in "More Abba Gold" as a minor hit but featured also in the musical based on Abba's songs "Mamma mia!" and became popular again ! (it was on a sissy spacek film called "marie")
if you mean the abba song, it was released in November 1983
I remember this. The song was 'The Winner Takes It All' by ABBA and it was the year the song was popular. I'm thinking Superbowl XV in 1981.
It was recorded in 1975 and released the following year as a single.
