When a capo is used it does not affect anything other than its open tuning. The bass not remains the same with or without it.

How much is the average price for an electric bass?

For a beginning level bass guitar, about $150. For an intermediate level bass guitar, about $300. For an advanced level bass guitar, $1000 and up. Note that you can always get a used bass for cheaper, and used basses are sometimes even better than new basses.

How do you translate guitar to piano?

It's extremely simple. If you're using sheet music with the chords written on already, then there is no change at all! If you're not, then what you need to do is find the bass note of the chord. So, for a chord consisting of C, E, and G, the Bass note is C and that's the chord you need to play on the guitar :)

What are the names of the notes on the lines in the bass?

The bass note is the lowest note played (or notated). It is typically notated using a bass clef, which looks similar to:):Bass notes are typically below middle-C. The lines on a bass clef stave stand for the notes G2, B2, D3, F3, A3. One line above the bass stave is middle-C (C4). However, double bass and bass guitar are notated an octave higher than the actual notes played. Therefore, the notes on the bass clef stave written for bass guitar are actually G1, B2, D2, F2, and A2. One line below the bass stave is E1, which is the lowest note on a standard 4-string double bass or bass guitar. A 5-string bass guitar is capable of playing as low as B0.

Can you use a gh3 ps2 Guitar Hero guitar for Guitar Hero 4 world tour bass guitar?

Yes, it is exactly the same. Bassists do not use the slider (as to my knowledge). The new 'addition' to the bass in Guitar Hero: World Tour is the 'Sixth' note. Simply strum without holding down a fret to play this note. It makes bassists have more of a challenge. It's really fun. This sixth note looks like the Kickstand note on the drums.
