Not necessarily... sorry... in all her pictures from when she was younger she never wore them and I'm a dentistry student and people who squeak their teeth when they sleep often use plastic or metallic retainers so that they dont force their teeth to get flat. Since she was 16 she became a singer and she had pictures of herself when she was 15 (in the song 15 on the album lyrics you can see it). When she was 14 and younger she has pictures in her myspace, and she didn't have braces then... but she has a picture of herself when she was in early middle school where she had screwed up teeth... I believe she did have braces, but the other explanation is just plainly dumb.
