The Everly Brothers played Massey Hall in Toronto ON in May of 2001. Murray McLaughlin opened for them. I was there ( living in London ON at the time ) and it was a great evening. Everyone was spot on. That was the only time I got to see and hear them live. No wonder they influenced other musicians.

The Everly Brothers are American rock performers who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. Some of their best known songs are Wake Up Little Susie, Bye Bye Love, Cathy's Clown and Devoted To You.
I would certainly say this has to be Simon and Garkfunkel...but it's not its Hall and Oates ..... I am pretty sure it's the Pet Shop Boys, a classic alternative band, out of the UK!
I know of at least three: Elvis Presley, The Everly Brothers, and Brenda Lee

The Everly Brothers are a musical close-harmony group, consisting of Don (Isaac Donald) Everly and Phil (Phillip) Everly who have been together since 1955. Their influences stretched far beyond their own music, with The Beach Boys, The Beatles, and Simon and Garfunkel all citing them as influences upon their style. With 35 Billboard Top 100 hits, they have the most charting hits for a duo in the history of the Billboard charts, and trail only Hall and Oates for top 40 hits for a duo.
