At one point, they were indeed a Christian band. However, like many other bands, such as MXPX, for example, they slowly but surely stepped away from that genre/label. They were first discovered at Cornerstone Music Festival (a Christian rock festival) and were signed by Tooth and Nail Records (a Christian rock label that also released the first few MXPX records).
It all comes down to personal opinion and music tastes but they sound similar to Blink-182 and MXPX, although some punkery kids hate to admit it.
Tom Wisniewski plays lead guitar while Mike Herrera plays bass guitar. Tom replaced Andy Husted on guitar early in the bands existence and has been with them ever since.
