Hip hop never ended or will it ever as long as there's real people out there going through real struggles hip hop will live on. Everyone is so focused on doing this for MAINSTREAM on radios because that's where the money is right now. If you do the electric slide an add one extra move to it, got a good beat an you get a few other people to do the dance with you then you money from there. People so worried bout now days of what the latest thing is an they gotta be down wit it or else you don't fit in but that's where people went wrong. If you listen to the radio you can see how lot of the songs now are similar because that's what is making money these days. People that didn't really know to much about hip hop tried saying hip hop is dead an they were so busy trying to spread it around that they didn't see the movement. Since a lot of artists are not going to get radio play because they rapped bout real struggles an what's going on today or your flow was too cold needed to be more up beat, artists started going back to the one thing they know will help keep hip hop alive. That my friend, is the mix tape. Now the artists can really express themselves they didn't have all these requirements, censorship's, or any of the other things that kept there music from reaching the people because it wasn't like how everything else is on the mainstream circuit. An its them same people that were so focused on whats happening's right now that are the ones that are saying its still dead an they WRONG. The people who chose to stay with hip hop a felt the artists got introduced to a whole new era of mixtapes. The freestyling started climbing real fast an pretty soon people started trying to make that transition from a pad an a pen to just off the dome. Some of the old school rappers who were mean with a pen an a pad were joining in on this freestyle stuff. So while they was boomin' fruity music on the radios, underground they was booming freestyles. A lot of young talent started coming out an people started going from rags to riches just rapping bout the real. Another thing, people say damn why does Lil Wayne songs suck compared to his mix tapes? an that goes for other people who was doing it big in the post game an the main stream. Its all bout what people think is hot rite now an that cool next year people probably think we are in suspenders with a truck cap an some forces is poppin' who knows. But this mixtape game an this hip hop flow will never change an that's what im trying to help you understand. There always going to be people who go from dance tracks to try an make a mix tape an watch that flop because it isn't real. It isn't like these other people that say they all taught an done all this but that's just all lip work an no action. So now when someone asked you when hip hop died or tell you that hip hop dead u can let em know whats really good.
